Olivier CREED, sixth generation master perfumer, will soon send to the United States — before all other countries — his latest creation, called AVENTUS, a new fragrance for men (also adored by women) honoring the traits of strength, power, vision and success.
CREED Aventus is inspired by the dramatic life of one of history’s greatest emperors, who waged war, peace and romance on terms he set, riding on horseback to victory. CREED Aventus will debut within several weeks at www.creedboutique.com and at CREED at 794 Madison Avenue at 67th Street in Manhattan (1.877.CREED 44 or 212.439.7777).
Part of proceeds from U.S. sales of Aventus will benefit American Rivers, a nonprofit group protecting U.S. waterways from damage.
The ingredients for CREED Aventus were hand selected at points worldwide by Erwin CREED, seventh generation of CREED and its designated future head, using the same unerring focus on quality and sustainability that have been hallmarks of CREED for 250 years. Chosen essences were then shipped to CREED’s workshop in France, where CREED father and son created a blend of superb style and enduring fine taste, using methods of hand production instituted at the founding of CREED in 1760.
The top note of Aventus is finest blackcurrant, followed by Italian bergamot, Calville Blanc apples and a burst of royal pineapple.
The middle note starts with exquisite roses with a complement of dry birch, Moroccan jasmine and a hint of patchouli.
The base note is musk with a touch of oak moss for depth, then ambergris and a dab of vanilla.
The Aventus bottle is rugged rugged black leather surrounding glass. The classic CREED “flask” design dates to the era of the king who inspired the fragrance. The silver emblem of horse and rider evokes unbounded adventure and spirit.
