How can a consumer tell if a CREED product is authentic? Or if it’s a fake?
Like most luxury goods companies, CREED receives this question often — as counterfeiters worldwide attempt to cash in by illegally deceiving bargain-hunting consumers with cheaply made, substandard replicas that contain substances never found in actual CREED products. Meanwhile, disreputable Internet sellers offer aged or defective products to consumers shopping for luxury goods at mass market prices.
Counterfeiting affects virtually every luxury fragrance firm. The January 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar includes an article about “faux fragrances” that quotes CREED’s CEO for North America and others. The article reveals some startling aspects of perfume counterfeiting, including unregulated, dangerous liquid contents and sales that benefit criminal organizations. We recommend the article as accurate and informative.
How can you tell if you’re getting a genuine bottle of Green Irish Tweed, Imperial Millesime or Spring Flower?
Buy CREED from an authorized retailer, and there is never a cause to worry. In the U.S., Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and their websites, select Saks Fifth Avenue stores, select Nordstrom stores, select Bloomingdale’s stores, the CREED boutique at 794 Madison Avenue in New York City (1-877-CREED 44), CREED’s official online store, www.creedboutique.com, a handful of independent boutiques across America carefully selected by CREED, including Bluemercury, Joe Brand, Cos Bar and Fred Segal, and, in Canada, Holt Renfrew and Ogilvy carry guaranteed, authentic CREED products and stand by them proudly. You can be confident when shopping these retailers.
The authenticity of CREED goods sold anywhere else cannot be determined.
We recommend learning from the hard experiences of others: a bottle of CREED on the Internet at a price that seems too good to be true, is, indeed, too good to be true. CREED hears from consumers who have fallen into the fakers’ trap. A lower price reflects the counterfeiters’ approach: using cheap, questionable ingredients, usually chemicals and chemical by-products — some approved for use on the human body, some not — mixed and bottled in unsanitary conditions and smuggled into the United States against the law. That is an experience to be avoided.
What does CREED do about fakes?
CREED works with the United States government to interdict counterfeit products. In one recent case, the U.S. government destroyed counterfeit CREED goods halted at the U.S. border as CREED executives watched the process. Then federal officials tracked down — and closed down — the shipment’s intended recipient. Federal penalties for counterfeit operators are severe.
Your authorized CREED retailer is always delighted to serve you and offer you the fine experience of owning goods made by hand by the CREED family in France. We wish our clients always to enjoy CREED and welcome your call or visit at any time.

Good to know.
It’s worth paying full price for! CREED is amazing!
I totally agree it is worthy of the price tag, here in the UK I only get CREED from an authorised source like Fenwicks of Leicester or Nottingham where I’ve always been most impressed with the level of service given.
Congratulations to CREED for entering the ‘blogosphere’
I recently started using creed fragrance, silver mountain water to be precise and i think i love it. I think creed is a step ahead of the others. Creed is actually a classic and obviously for the men with class. I sure hope to explore the others.
Thanks for this post I will be forwarding it to my sister.
Why are internet sellers considered disreputable if they are selling authentic Creed fragrances?
Thank you for the question. On the Internet, only the following websites sell guaranteed, authentic CREED fragrances: http://www.creedboutique.com, http://www.neimanmarcus.com and http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com. Items offered on other sites are of unknown origin and may be counterfeit, aged, defective or previously discarded.
What about Amazon????? Is it real?????
Thank you for the question.
For guaranteed, authentic CREED products, clients are earnestly advised to visit http://www.creedboutique.com, http://www.neimanmarcus.com and http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com.
Thank you for reading.
I have tried the Neroli Sauvage sample and the the women will love it on you these people are good at what they do.I will admit these are romance colognes and they will not smell all over the place unless you have too much on but if someone is up close they will notice the difference right away.I consider them up close and personal colognes that are must haves. You should go to an authorized retailer to tell how to spray it on to get the best response from your body.
