Erwin CREED, 29, seventh generation of the Parisian perfumery, will appear at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City (212.872.2729) on Wednesday, November 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time to meet the public in celebration of CREED’s 250th year and sign bottles of new CREED Spice and Wood and CREED Windsor, the legendary fragrance made for King Edward VIII in 1936.

Mr. CREED will then visit five more U.S. cities (dates and times below). CREED enthusiasts are invited to call 212.872.2729 or post a blog comment below for a personal appointment with Mr. CREED on November 3 in New York or simply stop by to be part of the historic milestone of CREED’s two and a half centuries of royal service as the world’s only privately held luxury fragrance dynasty passed from father to son since 1760.

Erwin CREED will appear in seven US cities

Erwin CREED, 29, seventh generation of Paris-based CREED, will visit seven U.S. cities in November to celebrate with clients CREED’s 250th anniversary and sign decanters of new Spice and Wood and the special reserve of CREED Windsor.

Mr. CREED will appear in New York at Bergdorf Goodman (212.872.2729) on November 3 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm. ET.

He will appear in Bal Harbour, Florida at Neiman Marcus (1.888.884.6136) November 4 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Mr. CREED will appear in Miami, Florida at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland on North Kendall Drive (305.662.8655) November 5 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET.

He will appear in Newport Beach, California at Neiman Marcus Fashion Island (1.800.395.1036) November 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT. Mr. CREED will appear in Canoga Park, California at Neiman Marcus Topanga (818.316.7000) November 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT.

He will appear in Houston, Texas at Neiman Marcus (1.800.397.5293) November 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. local time. Mr. CREED will conclude his tour in Dallas-NorthPark, Texas at Neiman Marcus (800.756.5784) November 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. local time.

As CREED celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2010, a search of its archives reveals correspondence with legends of the 21st, 20th, 19th and 18th centuries.

One modern-day legend is the famed international editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Helen Gurley Brown. A trailblazer for women in their careers and elsewhere, Ms. Brown for decades has personified the glamour, independence and success of a national — and international — magazine editor who stays on the cutting edge of all trends. For this reason, it was CREED’s pleasure to send Ms. Brown a debut bottle of CREED Original Santal in 2006. She very kindly sent CREED a note that brought with it all of her unique style, energy and sophistication.

CREED’s 250th Year Celebration

Erwin CREED will tour the U.S. in fall 2010

As CREED’s 250th anniversary approaches in November 2010, special activities are underway at the world’s only luxury fragrance dynasty passed from father to son in an unbroken line since 1760.

Paris-based CREED starts the celebration in the U.S. with the exclusive, American launch of a spectacular, new fragrance called Aventus, inspired by the very idea of success. Aventus is a masterwork already being enjoyed by leaders in politics, sports, music and film. Aventus is available on this site and soon at Neiman Marcus coast to coast, Bergdorf Goodman and the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City.

CREED began its 250th year by opening its only North American boutique at 794 Madison Avenue at 67th Street in New York City (1-877-CREED 44) and displaying there for the public some of CREED’s correspondence with legends and VIPs over the centuries.

CREED also launched this site to mark the anniversary year.
