CREED in August

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

Blooms bought during CREED family travels are shipped to CREED in France.

Having shipped their latest creations — including new Royal-Oud, Original Cologne, White Flowers plus Silver Mountain Water and Love In White perfumed oils — to the United States and other countries around the world, CREED, like many family-owned companies in France, closes for the remainder of August.  Yet work does not stop.  Yachtsman Olivier CREED takes to the high seas with his son, Erwin, not merely to unwind, but also to visit Mediterranean ports that are thriving markets for fresh flowers, spices, fruits and other essences father and son will use to make new fragrances for 2012.

Purchasing the best from growers who send the bounty to Paris by the bushel or gross, CREED father and son know their summer voyage ends with an eager return to France where the natural supplies they acquired await them.  During their journey by sea, a definite port of call is the glittering Amalfi coast of Italy, where lush blooms serve as a longtime inspiration for Olivier CREED.  Look for a new fragrance in 2012 based on the native blooms of this scenic, seaside region of Italy.

Warm Reaction to Royal-Oud

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Royal-Oud is being warmly received as premier bottles arrive in North America.

“Our team is already addicted to CREED Royal-Oud,” one magazine editor wrote in an email to Paris-based CREED’s New York office.  A major newspaper style writer enthused in a private note, “It’s incredible!”   Another magazine scribe sent an email: ”I love it!”

A prominent team of two clothing designers praised Royal-Oud’s “sophisticated melange of notes” in a note to the company.  Of their upcoming Fashion Week runway presentation, they said: ”We’ll be wearing Royal-Oud on show day”.

“A peerless composition,” says ThePerfumeCritic.com.

To top it all off, a former President of the United States wrote to the President and CEO of CREED North America that finding Royal-Oud brought him “great pleasure.”

Six Presidential Families for Royal-Oud

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Members of six U.S. Presidential families are enjoying debut bottles of Royal-Oud, the new hand-made fragrance by Olivier CREED, patriarch of the world’s only private fragrance dynasty founded in 1760.  Beauty and quality make Royal-Oud widely sought and thoroughly enjoyed, especially among heads of state.  However, Royal-Oud’s mindful luxury also plays a role.  Part of proceeds from US and Canadian sales of Royal-Oud will aid the health of children in India via www.globalgiving.org.  India is where Erwin CREED, seventh generation of the house, acquires oud — a fragrant ingredient — from local providers, respecting their livelihoods, priorities and traditions.

For families of public and private distinction, and individuals of discerning taste who are world-famous and not – all equally treasured by the House of CREED – Royal-Oud offers hand-crafted excellence and luxury that gives back.

Silver Screen For Royal-Oud

Monday, July 18th, 2011

New CREED Royal-Oud for men and women has made a dramatic impression in the United States upon its arrival from France, first with a royal encounter in California and now a Hollywood casting call in New York.  Offered exclusively now at www.creedboutique.com before its appearance in stores, Royal-Oud was presented to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Santa Barbara, as reported by The Wall Street Journal on July 2.

Now the production company behind the upcoming motion picture “What Maisie Knew” has requested Royal-Oud and a number of other CREED fragrances for set decor.  The upcoming film, based on a Henry James novella, stars Julianne Moore. CREED does not compensate any person or company for product appearances in movies or television.  Part of proceeds from US and Canadian sales of Royal-Oud benefits child health in India via the nonprofit www.globalgiving.org.

Royal-Oud’s Noble Mission

Monday, July 11th, 2011

Royal-Oud is the new fragrance from CREED capturing the splendor of palace life, Persian and Parisian, for the modern American man and woman, in a way no other fragrance has.  Already owned by English royals and America’s most famous dynasty in politics,  Royal-Oud has an international mission.  Rich with oud, the sumptuous ingredient coaxed from Agarwood trees, acquired personally by Erwin CREED from local providers in India, luxurious CREED Royal-Oud gives back  to India as well.

Part of proceeds from sales of Royal-Oud in the US and Canada benefits child health in India via the nonprofit group Global Giving.  Specifically, funds from Royal-Oud sales will help establish camps to provide immunizations in remote parts of India not served by state health facilities.  That is why CREED, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, presented debut bottles to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor during their recent visit to California; the royal couple are the future heads of the British Commonwealth, including India.  Enjoying CREED Royal-Oud is enjoying mindful luxury.

Orders Now Being Accepted for New Royal-Oud

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

Excellent news for clients of our web boutique: Orders are now being accepted online exclusively here for new CREED Royal-Oud for men and women, the latest from sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier CREED in Paris.  Wood, leather, marble and gold — elements of a royal Persian palace – inspire Mr. CREED, an architect of fragrance, to create Royal-Oud.  Rare, hypnotic, sumptuous oud, an ingredient coaxed from agarwood trees of India — and more expensive per ounce than palladium — lends its power to this must-have blend.

CREED Royal-Oud gives the contemporary man and woman a touch of palace life, Persian and Parisian: days and nights amid sculpted and textured marble, fragrant wood, hand tooled leather and exquisite gold, a luxury oasis in a busy world.  Yet Royal-Oud offers mindful luxury.  Part of proceeds from US and Canadian sales of Royal-Oud will benefit child health via the nonprofit organization Global Giving.  Erwin CREED, 30, seventh generation of the house, obtained oud for Royal-Oud the way his ancestors did: in direct contact with local providers in India, respecting their livelihoods, priorities and traditions.
