New Looks for Select CREED Fragrances
The bottles of some authentic CREED fragrances are changing, with new looks for CREED’s 250th year. The fine fragrances inside are unchanged, of course.
The new 2.5 ounce bottle of authentic CREED Green Irish Tweed now features more lush green and proudly bears the CREED crest and motto, De Pere en Fils Depuis 1760. However the 4-ounce bottle of CREED Green Irish Tweed is unchanged in its iconic and stately matte black flask.
The 2.5-ounce and 4-ounce bottles of CREED Tabarome have changed to include more club-leather brown, so right for this fragrance of British club luxury.

Creed Aventus
Olivier CREED, sixth generation master perfumer, will soon send to the United States — before all other countries — his latest creation, called AVENTUS, a new fragrance for men (also adored by women) honoring the traits of strength, power, vision and success.
CREED Aventus is inspired by the dramatic life of one of history’s greatest emperors, who waged war, peace and romance on terms he set, riding on horseback to victory. Part of proceeds from U.S. sales of Aventus will benefit American Rivers, a nonprofit group protecting U.S. waterways from damage.
The ingredients for CREED Aventus were hand selected at points worldwide by Erwin CREED, seventh generation of CREED and its designated future head, using the same unerring focus on quality and sustainability that have been hallmarks of CREED for 250 years. Chosen essences were then shipped to CREED’s workshop in France, where CREED father and son created a blend of superb style and enduring fine taste, using methods of hand production instituted at the founding of CREED in 1760. During its 250 years, CREED has been a loyal supporter of the communities in which it does business. As CREED is a very small, independent, family-run company that produces all of its products by hand in France, CREED’s support many times takes the form of a special item presented for a charity auction. For example, CREED flacons, perhaps signed by a member of the CREED family, offered with CREED shatterproof atomizers, are examples of such donations. Occasionally, CREED’s charity support takes the form of a financial gift.

CREED Room Sprays

It’s obvious that CREED leather kits, hand-stitched in France from Italian leather, are an attractive take-anywhere way to store shaving gear, shampoo, soap and, of course, fragrance. But how strong and durable are they? Tough enough for U.S. troops serving in Iraq.
In 2009, as part of our regular, free shipments of grooming goods, including soaps and hair-and-body washes, to U.S. troops serving in Iraq, CREED sent a leather travel-grooming kit to U.S. Army First Lieutenant Anthony Arellano, serving in a field artillery unit outside the city of Tikrit. Lieutenant Arellano kept his CREED kit with him for the rest of his tour in Iraq, which included many dangerous missions. CREED is proud the kit withstood searing heat and sun, rough travel, sand and sustained use in perfect condition. CREED is very pleased that Lieutenant Arellano and his kit have returned safely to the U.S.

CREED's Spring Flower
Many readers have asked which are CREED’s most luxurious floral fragrances for Mother’s Day. It’s a fine question.
CREED Spring Flower in its exuberant pink bottle is a true harbinger of the season and holiday. The rose, queen of flowers, is brilliantly combined with superb peach, melon and apple in this blend that is now a hallmark of the House of CREED. It is an ideal fragrance for the occasion.
Less well known but just as enchanting is CREED Fantasia de Fleurs, an armful of luscious blooms in a bottle. “I visited the store, and my favorite CREED fragrance is a slightly different color than I’m used to. Why?”
This is a great question.
Color variations in hand-blended CREED perfumes occur naturally year to year. Why?
Sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier CREED and his son, Erwin, annually travel the globe to buy the best natural ingredients for fragrance, meeting personally with farmers, growers and cultivators of flowers, fruits, woods and spices on virtually every continent of the world.
In a given year, the jasmine, daffodils, sandalwood, cinnamon or other crops the CREEDs buy might vary in color or strength from the prior year because of natural changes in rainfall, soil and sunshine. Always blending by hand, CREED is certain to add precisely the right amount of each ingredient for a result that is a fragrance clients love. Yet a yellower daffodil or pinker rose will, of course, mean a color change in the perfume itself one year versus another.
Many connoisseurs say that CREED fragrances are like fine wine, bottled each year by hand with a new crop of grapes that’s a bit different from the prior year’s crop because of changes such as more or less rainfall. This is a good comparison (although CREED fragrances are to be enjoyed only on the surface of the skin, of course).
Some readers have asked about CREED Acqua Fiorentina, which is lighter in color in 2010 than in 2009. This is a very special case and cause.
